Mrs. Shavon Bright
Hello, my name is Shavon Bright and I am the Early Childhood Preschool (ECP) Special Education Teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, being with my husband and daughter, walking in the woods, going to rivers and lakes, camping, and reading. I have raised two medically fragile special needs children and understand not only the academic side of special education but the family side as well.
I attended school and grew up in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Then I moved to Missouri where I attended College of the Ozarks to receive my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. After having two special needs children of my own, I decided to go back to college and add special education to my certificate.
In Arkansas, I worked as a Developmental Therapist serving children from birth to five years old across four counties. This will be my fourth year teaching preschool for Melvindale-Northern Allen Park School District. I enjoy getting to know my families and love working with preschoolers!
