Ms. Kori Schmidt

Hello my name is Ms. Schmidt. I am a Kindergarten teacher at Rogers Early Elementary School. This will be my second year teaching in the Melvindale- Northern Allen Park school district. In my free time I love to play sports and spend time with all my pets.  

I grew up in Dearborn and played volleyball for 10 years through my school and travel. I attended Central Michigan University and the University of Michigan- Dearborn where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a specification in Early Childhood Education. I graduated at the top of my class earning the Chancellor's Medallion Award. 

I am currently back at school earning my Master's degree and certification in English Language Learning (ELL) at Western Governors University. I eventually want to go back to earn my Master's in Leadership and Administration or Curriculum Development.

 

I am excited for the new school year and am ready to face the challenges and rewards that come with virtual teaching! I look forward to working with all of my new students and their families and am excited to meet everyone!
