Kristie Donohue
Hello! I’m a proud member of the first grade team at Rogers Elementary. This will be the start of my 16th year here in Melvindale-Northern Allen Park schools. I previously taught in a small rural town in northern Michigan before getting married and moving downriver.
I am originally from Sturgis, a town in southwest lower Michigan. I went to Olivet College, and Wayne State University for my teaching degrees. I am always eager to learn more through professional development, from my students, and even from “on the job training” as a spectacular aunt to our 14 nieces and nephews!
When I’m not teaching first grade, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our little family of pets, Gracie McFlufferkitty, Lollie Danielle, Princess Peach (tortoise) and our most recent addition, Buddy the Beagle. Steve and I are also both active in Boy Scouts, and do a lot of additional volunteer work.
I'm excited about the upcoming school year and the chance to learn new things together!
