Meet Mr. Nagy
I am your child’s physical education teacher. I earned my elementary, middle, and high school education from Melvindale schools. I was always proud of being a student from these schools and I am honored to be a teacher for this school district. I am also part of the district Technology Help Team and I am the head wrestling coach at Melvindale High School. Our wrestlers have won the District Title for 8 years in a row!
I am married to Donna, who works at the high school. She helps me so much. I have two adult children: Tyler (TJ) and Holly. They both make me proud. TJ is a police officer who was awarded for his bravery and compassion and Holly just became certified as an occupational therapist. Both TJ and Holly are in careers that help people.
Things I enjoy doing include spending time with family and friends, reading, exercising (especially jumping rope) and even occasionally watching television (not too much though). My favorite sport has to be wrestling but Donna and I love to watch Melvindale's state finalist soccer team!
I have been teaching for the Mel/NAP School District for 29 years. For several years, I taught as a classroom teacher at Mead, Evans, and Strong. I am responsible for the physical education curriculum at Rogers. I have a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University, a Master of Arts degree from Wayne State University, and a Master of Science degree specializing in Educational Technology from Walden University.
