Ms. Nicole Gores

Hello my name is Ms. Gores. I have spent my entire teaching career here in Melvindale. This will be my 15th year in the district. I have taught second and fifth grade in the past, and this will be my 9th year teaching Kindergarten. I never expected to be a kindergarten teacher when I started my career, and now there is no other grade I would want to teach. Kindergartners are a fun group of kids to work with. They are curious and eager to learn, and they grow so much in a year! It's truly awesome to watch my students grow every year. 

 

I am a graduate of Eastern Michigan University where I earned my bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I also have a master's degree from Eastern Michigan in Reading. When I am not in school I love spending time with my friends and family. At home I have two cats, Pebbles and Bam Bam, that are brother and sister, and always entertaining. I have a niece and three nephews that I love to spend time with and spoil. My family has a cottage up north that I like to spend most of my summer at boating and relaxing at the lake with friends. I also enjoy playing trivia, golfing, bowling, and being outdoors.
