Mr. Andrew Kilburn

Hello. My name is Mr. Kilburn and I am going into my 24th year of teaching music in the Melvindale-NAP Public Schools. I have enjoyed sharing my love of music with thousands of students over the years.

I am a product of the Wyandotte Public Schools and it is there that I discovered my passion for the arts. It is also where I met my wife! We still live in Wyandotte and now our own children are involved in the music program there.

I studied music education at Eastern Michigan University and secured a Masters in the Art of Teaching through Marygrove College. Then I went to Madonna University in order to teach in the regular classroom.

When I'm not teaching music I am often busy working in the Rogers Kinder Garden. I am a cellist with the Detroit Community Orchestra. I also play the fiddle with two traditional Irish groups. I enjoy being involved in the community through various arts organizations and with my church.
